JustOT has a number of exciting OT opportunities based at one of Londons largest NHS trusts based in North London. The roles are Band 6 rotational positions - the 9-monthly rotations offer experience across the trust in the following areas: A&E, Acute Medicine, Surgery and Amputees, Respiratory, Acute Neurology, Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics. There is also scope for a fixed placement in any of these specialties.

Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: North London
Start date: ASAP
Hours of work: Full time, Permanent – 9-monthly rotations
Salary: £25,000-£34,000 per annum

Job purpose:
• To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
• To provide leadership for junior staff, as delegated by supervisor.
• To supervise occupational therapy students on practice placements.

Clinical duties will include:
• To be able to communicate effectively with users and carers, team members, OT colleagues and other agencies, including people who may have sensory disabilities e.g. visual and sensory impairments, speech and comprehension difficulties.
• To participate or work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing expert OT opinion towards decisions with regard to patient care programs.
• To provide support and education to patients and carers regarding all aspects of occupational therapy e.g. equipment fitting, rehab programs
• To ensure that up to date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with Professional and Trust standards and provide specialist OT reports relevant to practice setting.

To be considered for this position must have a BSc degree in Occupational Therapy, have current registration with the HCPC, post registration experience relevant to clinical area including work in an acute health setting and discharge planning.
