Locum Job of the Month: Band 6 OT Acute Rehab – Isle of Man
We have an excellent job opportunity for a Band 6 Locum OT to work within the Acute Rehabilitation Occupational Therapy Service (Wards) at Noble’s Hospital on the Isle of Man.
Due to start as soon as possible, this position will require a motivated locum Occupational Therapist who is available to work until the end of September or possibly for longer. This is a great opportunity to summer on the Isle of Man, earn an excellent pay rate and even save while you work!
- Paying £22-£24 per hour
-Full time hours Monday - Friday

-Comfortable on-site accommodation is available at approx. £310pcm.
-Free travel to and from the Island.
You will be working within an innovative hospital and clinical team on a 25 bedded rehab ward, where you can enhance your skills and experience. The OT role will involve covering inpatient ward work, and some home visits as required. Your case load will be varied, including neurology, orthopaedics, multi pathology. The existing OT department also has a full time Band 7, full time Band 6 and a part time Band 4 TI - to cover in patients and clinics.
To be considered for this position, you must be a HPC registered Occupational Therapist and have at least 2 year previous experience within Acute Rehabilitation.

Senior 1 Occupational Therapist - Band 6 Acute Neuro Rehab Job - London
Salary Circa £33,710.00

Based in central London, our client, a leading private hospital is offering an excellent opportunity for a Senior 1 Acute Neuro Rehab Occupational Therapist.
Clinical duties:
-To work with patients and families to identify OT goals as part of the overall care plan, using specialist Neurological and OT assessment tools.
-To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
-To manage a caseload of clients with complex neurological condition’s, taking on the role of care co coordinator and or vocational lead where relevant.
Communication:
-To establish robust communication networks with patients, relatives, fellow multidisciplinary team members and external agencies.
-To promote awareness of the role of OT within the team, negotiating priorities where appropriate.
Professional Ethics:
-To comply with the COT Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and HPC regulations as well as National and Local policies, procedures and guidelines.
Leadership supervision & appraisal:
-Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
To qualify for this post you must have proven experience in neuro rehabilitation, have a bachelors in occupational therapy and hold a current registration with the HPC. Further experience of working within a hospital setting, experience of research or audit advice and support of junior staff or students is highly desirable.
