What do you like about your job?
I really enjoy the supportive and fun team environment that I work in and the depth of knowledge that's shared. Its great going to work and seeing individuals in their own environments and being able to assist to make a difference in their lives, working to achieve the goals they have no matter how big or small. No one day is the same and it keeps you on your toes and thinking all the time, and the challenges certainly make it interesting!
Personal achievements within your role?
For me, coming and working in the UK and gaining a grasp of the UK health system is a huge achievement with all the different processes and systems. No one place seems to be the same in the UK from my experience!
A personal achievement for me, is implementing change in lots of individuals lives and seeing the reflection of gratitude through a smile or expression of thanks, when many were near to giving up!
How do you unwind from work?
Like most that venture over here form down under the opportunity to jet off and explore the countryside, whether it be part of the UK or further a field in Europe. Generally I can be found away from work discussing my next adventure with friends over a meal or a few drinks and reminiscing on the adventures just past, while planning the next! Getting out and exploring the sights in the wide open spaces and foreign places is a fantastic way to unwind and forget work even exists.
