Friday 7th August 2015

Each month JustOT would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Occupational Therapy Service!

Name: Helen (pictured far right)

Profession: Occupational Therapist

Where are you from? Watford

Current Locum position? (Job title, Grade, etc.) Occupational Therapist Rapid Response Team (Community) Band 6

Personal achievements within the role? Giving a presentation on sight loss and occupational therapy. Designing a safety check list to ask patients with their initial assessment. Working on a falls pack and doing more generic nursing and physiotherapy tasks. Inviting Careline Herts to talk about their services and local drug and alcohol services.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? The freedom to work in different areas of OT to expand my experiences and knowledge. Speaking to Stu (JustOT Recruitment Consultant) off course! The extra cash and all the lovely staff and patients I have met along the way.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1.) My man
2.) A big box of matches
3.) A tent
