Locum of the Month - November 2015

Wednesday 4th November 2015

Each month JustOT would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Occupational Therapy Service!

Name: Jane

Profession: Occupational Therapist

Where are you from? Australia

Current Locum position? Inpatient Rehabilitation, Band 5

Personal achievements within the role? Coming into a team that is very understaffed currently and being able to take on a caseload and run with it in an effective and productive way to ensure that OT services are being delivered to the patients.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? Being able to be exposed to a wide range of areas within Occupational Therapy and meeting many individuals both as colleagues and patients.

Most memorable moment within your career? I have fond memories of the first day one of my first and youngest spinal cord injury patients (C4 complete) was able to use tenodesis grasp techniques to apply make up to her face independently

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1.) Surfboard
2.) Sunbed
3.) My partner, Tom to keep me entertained
