We are currently working with a specialist client that provides case management services. They are in the process of expanding their current team of both employed and freelance associates, and are looking to recruit a motivated Occupational Therapist to join them.

Working alongside clients, families and legal professionals, the successful Occupational Therapist will manage a small case-load of paediatric patients, with a huge brief to achieve excellent outcomes.

Salary £35,000 – £40,000

Job purpose:
To assess, plan, implement, co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate the options and services required to meet an individual’s health, care, education and employment needs, using communication, advocacy and available resources to promote quality, cost effective outcomes.

Principle duties will include:
• Professional assessment of the client’s needs, including care needs
• Cost effective goals, plans and recommendations for the client to achieve the most beneficial outcome within the various restraints
• Implementation of the plans and effective management of the case
• Co-ordination of the various aspects of the case for the benefit of the client
• Effective communication with all relevant parties, including advocacy and mediation as required
• Education as required for relevant parties
• Research of required aspects of the case to achieve the outcomes

Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the HCPC
• Substantial experience of the complexities of paediatric, neurological, spinal or brain injury cases
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Be professional with excellent presentation
