Our Locum of the Month

Friday 15th September 2017

This month we are delighted to celebrate the success and hard work of our locum Ceris, from Melbourne, Australia.

Since starting her first locum position with JustOT back in June 2016, Ceris and her recruitment consultant Julie have maintained a great working relationship which lead to Ceris becoming a loyal and regular hardworking locum for our team.

Not only has she received glowing feedback from Julie, who nominated Ceris for the honour of Locum of the Month, she has received exceptional feedback from her managers and clients from all of her placements.

Julie added, ‘Ceris is a pleasure to work with and has made a great impact in every team she has joined’.

Get to know a little more about Ceris…

Current Locum position? Band 6 Stroke Occupational Therapist

Personal achievements within the role? Being able to bring new knowledge and experience to the service, I have taken a lead role in developing new groups to target the provision of upper limb rehabilitation in chronically understaffed services to ensure patients don't lose out on rehab opportunities, and make rehab fun. The patients actually enjoyed the group, and wanted it to run more often!

What do you enjoy about being a locum? The flexibility of the roles, and that you get to work with so many different people. I love moving to new places and learning all the little quirks of the local area. And at the same time being able to continue challenging myself professionally and developing my skills as a neuro OT.

Most memorable moment within your career? The moment I realised that I was actually able to make a difference to fellow staff members, and act as a mentor. I actually have knowledge to share!
