Get to know more about Alison…

Personal achievements within the role? Able to continue completing my MSc in Hand Therapy by correspondence with the flexibility of locum work in my specialist field.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? Flexibility with work, study and travel.

Most memorable moment within your career? Rehabilitating a patient with significant hand trauma (Wound, tendon & fractures), and building rapport to enable them to return to work and their leisure activities. Hands are such an important part of the body. I love that each patient I see is so different as far as their goals, experiences and challenges.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1.) My boyfriend to entertain me
2.) A dog in case I get bored of my boyfriend and need someone else to talk to
3.) A soft pillow so I can sun bathe in comfort
