Each month JustOT would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Occupational Therapy Service!

Name: Samantha de Mol

Profession: Occupational Therapist

Where are you from? Perth, Western Australia

Current Locum position?
Occupational Therapist, Band 6. The organisation is a specialised paediatric rehabilitation centre for children and their families who have an Acquired Brain Injury.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy the opportunity to work with a team of incredibly specialised and experienced therapists in an organisation that is nationally recommended. Perth doesn’t have a service such as this so the learning experience and development of my skills as an OT has increased significantly.

Personal achievements within your role?
The area is so specialised and difficult to get into that having an opportunity to experience the role has been one of the biggest achievements.

How do you unwind from work?
The right answer should be going for a run, but we all know the sneaky vino at the pub is the best unwinding method. As they say, when in London…

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1.) iPhone with music
2.) Chocolate
3.) Swimmers
