The Occupational Therapy Show 2018 will be taking place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on November 21st and 22nd - and JustOT will be present to offer advice and opportunities for those seeking vacancies in both the NHS and the private sector.
Run by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), the event is described as having the purpose to "educate, inspire and raise the profile for such an important allied healthcare profession". This includes both therapists themselves and also equipment providers.
Over the two days, there will be 80 hours of professional development on offer, with the opportunity to gain Continuing Professional Development certification.
That, of course, is just part of the career development potential the event provides, as the presence of JustOT means attendees can find out about and apply for vacancies all over the country.
JustOT can be found at Stand number 21 in the exhibition section of the conference. Throughout the conference, those seeking new opportunities can come over and find out about the possibilities open to them.
The conference itself will include talks and presentations on a wide array of topics affecting the occupational therapy sector, including governance, paediatrics, physical therapy, housing, moving and handling, neurological practice and mental health.
Organisers have recommended the event for occupational therapists working in a number of areas, whether they are involved with GP practices, are private practitioners, are in the prison service, involved in the paediatric service, the social housing sector or nursing and residential homes, among others.
In short, this is an event that offers plenty for occupational therapists involved in a range of areas. JustOT will be catering for this broad scope of settings with a variety of vacancies on offer and further information.
The show opens at 09:15 on November 21st with a welcome address by RCOT chief executive Julia Scott in the Keynote Theatre. As well as the training sessions and talks, the event will also include the Occupational Therapy Show Awards 2018.
