Our client in Berkshire is looking for Band 6 OTs to work in a Mental health setting
Our client provides personalized assessment and treatment programmes for Females with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder.
As an experienced OT, you'll know a thing or two about helping people to develop new skills.
Your expertise will be put to good use here, as you support people with a range of mental health conditions; helping to improve their quality of life.
Working as an active member of a multidisciplinary team, supported by the strong team of Occupational therapists, you will manage a designated clinical caseload using theoretical and practical experience.
This involves completing full assessments, plan, implement intervention and evaluate outcomes aligned to the care pathway, enabling service users in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure.
The role involves-
*Collaboratively planning and implementing individual and group interventions
*Maintaining accurate patient records, written reports and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital and professional standard
*Effectively communicating with patients, all staff and other agencies (written and spoken)
*Actively implement evidence-based practice
*Participating in peer group events through in-service training
*Actively ensuring regular clinical and managerial supervision.
*Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective professional and clinical supervision and annual appraisal
*Contribute to planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service, and the wider service of Thornford Park
*Provide professional contribution to, and liaison with, clinical teams, associated disciplines and external agencies
