JustOT are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist at band 7 level specialising in Paediatric for a locum vacancy in London.

The pay for this position is £25-£30 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Job Description:
The programme will deploy specialists from both health and education workforces to upskill schools and build their capacity to identify and meet the needs of neurodiverse children. The project is expected to run in 7 mainstream primary schools. It will be evaluated, and learning will be used to inform future policy development around how schools support neurodiverse children.

This will enable a partnership approach working with local authorities and parent carer forums to develop innovative ways to support the education and health needs of neurodiverse children in schools and to help them to fulfil their potential. Based on the learning from the successful model of the Autism in Schools programme this is designed to enable approaches for earlier support for neurodiverse children in school that will help prevent distress and challenge which may require further intensive intervention across health, education and care. The PINS project will test an innovative model for the effective, efficient deployment of the specialist health workforce and strengthening of parent carer and school partnerships in mainstream education settings, focusing on supporting neurodiverse pupils, who represent a fast-growing group among the children most likely to benefit from more inclusive mainstream environments.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
