JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6/7 Neuro Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Yorkshire.

The pay for this position is £20 - £27 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.

Job Summary
Due to business growth and several cases reaching completion, Smart Rehabilitation is excited to invite applications for experienced Neurological Occupational Therapists (Band 6 & 7) to join our vibrant, multidisciplinary team. This role involves working with both adults and children in community settings, providing assessments, interventions, and specialist recommendations across neurorehabilitation and complex trauma cases.
Our therapists collaborate closely with case managers, legal teams, families, and educational settings to deliver holistic and functional therapy. We offer an enriching work environment with flexible hours, excellent pay, CPD support, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
* Hold and manage an independent caseload.
* Complete holistic occupational therapy assessments and detailed, outcome-based reports.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment programmes with SMART goals.
* Provide interventions for clients with neurological conditions, including TBI, stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, sensory and perceptual difficulties, and complex trauma.
* Recommend and facilitate major and minor aids and adaptations.
* Support with functional rehabilitation based on goals.
* Cognitive rehabilitation
* Offer vocational rehabilitation as part of a return-to-work or meaningful activity plan.
* Liaise with schools, SENCOs, families, MDTs, and other professionals.
* Support and supervise junior therapists and rehab assistants.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards.
* Actively participate in supervision, appraisal, and CPD.
* Provide training and advice to family members and support workers to support therapeutic intervention.
* Effectively evaluate a patient's progress.
* Communicate with referring agents appropriately.
* Communicate and make recommendations to case managers and/or other professionals to meet the patient's needs.
* Maintain a positive working relationship with all professionals involved in the patient's treatment and management.
* Attend MDT meetings and contribute to case discussions.

Essential Criteria
* BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* For band 6- Minimum 2 years of UK-based experience in neurological/children/ community rehabilitation
* HCPC registration and RCOT membership
* Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
* Ability to manage own diary and caseload independently
* Experience working with clients with complex needs and multidisciplinary teams
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable Criteria
* Case management experience
* Training in Sensory Integration or Bobath Concept
* Experience working with private clients, case managers, or medico-legal teams
* Familiarity with the business aspects of private therapy
